![]() ![]() ![]() If I ever have a choice I will not have my test done there, unfortunately sometimes the provider requires you go to SimonMed. SimonMed staff is always unprofessional, uncourteous and unorganized. While I was there I witnessed over eight people have to reschedule in both offices due to them running behind and the people that did wait told me they had been there for over two hours. The problem no matter what office I have ever went to has been the front staff and scheduling staff. I will say that the radiologist and the techs in the back who perform the tests are not the problem. I ended up waiting for an hour as told I was not supposed to do. The girl checking me in asked the supervisor and was told to just put me on the list. When I arrived I informed them of what was going on and that I was supposed to get in right away due to the dye injection already being done. ![]() I received my injection from the radiologist and proceeded to the second office. They called the other office to confirm that they would be able to get me in immediately and they said yes. At that time she checked with the doctor and said that this was not acceptable and that I would need to get in right away because the dye only lasted so long. When I went back to get the injection I was talking with the assistant and told her that I now would have to go to the second office and wait an hour before getting the MRI. I was told that I would receive the injection for the dye in their office and then sent to the second office to receive the MRI. They called around and found another office that would do part of my test. How do you just find out that you are running an hour behind? I asked if they could find m e an appointment at another office since I had already taken time off of work to make this appointment. I was then told that they just found out and that their machine was also not working. I went to the desk to ask why we had not been notified sooner by phone that they were running an hour late. After I sat down and started filling out the paperwork they announced that to the entire wait room that they were running an hour behind. I arrived for my appointment on time and was given the paperwork to fill out. Verify with staff that you’ve been checked in … – show Visit the Deer valley location rather than Union Hills, they were able to get things done quickly! 3. Don’t book ahead if you need X-rays, as there is currently no reason to. Recommendations to those needing to visit Simonmed in this area: 1. Also, “there’s nothing we can do about a broken x-ray machine.” is not an excuse here, considering I never would’ve been attended to even if the machine was functioning. I’m also not intending to call anyone out individually, this was just a very, very poor experience. I don’t need stellar customer service, but to be clearly brushed aside and forgotten is not a great feeling. The only reason I’m not giving this 1 star is b ecause I should’ve stood up to see why I wasn’t called after the room cleared the first time, when they clearly didn’t even check me in, they never even asked for a co-pay after waiting that long. All I received was just, “go somewhere else” (I guess that’s advice). They offered nothing regarding expediting the process, scheduling at another location, or advice. After watching the whole room clear two times without being called (I know some of these folks came in for X-rays after I did), they let everyone know the X-ray machine was broken. I waited 2+ hours (8AM-10:30AM) to get an x-ray for an appointment I scheduled previously for 8:30AM. ![]()
